Trinity Health Michigan is one of the state’s largest cardiovascular disease centers. We’ve been leaders in innovative heart and vascular treatments for more than 50 years.

Our efforts include cardiovascular disease research that’s bringing new therapies to the communities we serve. Some of our locations are also training the next generation of cardiology experts.

Cardiovascular Disease Research and Clinical Trials at Trinity Health Michigan

Our heart and vascular specialists treat some of the most complex cases and maintain exceptional results. As trusted experts, we also assess new therapies through national clinical trials. These efforts connect eligible patients with innovative care options years before they are widely available.

In West Michigan, our partnership with the University of Michigan Frankel Cardiovascular Center gives you access to additional clinical trials.

Pioneering Cardiovascular Disease Care

Patients in some Trinity Health Michigan locations are among the first in the nation to receive new heart treatments. We were one of the first hospitals in the United States and the only one in Michigan participating in clinical trials for MitraClip™. This tiny implantable clip puts an end to leaky heart valves. Interventional cardiologists use thin tubes (catheters) to implant a clip to improves valve function. Get more information about interventional cardiology procedures.
