Our Cardiovascular Research Interests
Trinity Health Michigan’s involvement in cardiovascular research leads to exceptional care using the latest approaches and groundbreaking treatments. - Arrhythmia treatments
- Catheter-based therapies for blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism)

Pioneering Cardiovascular Disease Care
Patients in some Trinity Health Michigan locations are among the first in the nation to receive new heart treatments. We were one of the first hospitals in the United States and the only one in Michigan participating in clinical trials for MitraClip™. This tiny implantable clip puts an end to leaky heart valves. Interventional cardiologists use thin tubes (catheters) to implant a clip to improves valve function. Get more information about interventional cardiology procedures.
Cardiology Fellowship at Trinity Health Oakland
Trinity Health Oakland is home to a nationally recognized general cardiology fellowship program. Our experts give board-certified cardiologists additional training and expertise to become future leaders in the field.
