CareBridge is a 24/7 free and confidential organization that offers services and counseling to assist in your work and personal life. Services include counseling for marital and relationship issues, stress management, legal assistance, financial and home buying help, personal convenience services such as referrals for pet care, cleaning services, home improvements, and online tools and sources. The Urban Platter

The Urban Platter Café is available at Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital to ensure that your wellness and fitness goals are valued. Follow The Urban Platter (@urbanplatter) on Instagram for daily specials, and special events! They are open Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. On weekends, they are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Activities

On the Trinity Health intranet, under the wellness tab, you can access onsite exercise classes, running clubs, and other fun activities that promote exercise.

Exercise equipment is available to residents within the Cardiac Rehab space, located on the 3rd floor of Wege between 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Check New Innovations for the door code.

Every Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. – Resident/Fellow Soccer @ Various locations. Games are friendly and recreational, also open to spouses and attendings. This is funded by the GME Department and is a great way to get some Cardio and get to know each other better. Contact Dr. Sadowski for the location.

Fitness Assessments

Free fitness assessment using the InBody 570 Scanner is available. The new scanner goes beyond traditional body scales by measuring fat, muscle, and total body water. Finding your baseline can help you maximize your health and athletic performance. Contact K.C. Harkness harknesk@mercyhealth.com to schedule an appointment.

The City of Grand Rapids Department of Recreation hosts a variety of adult fitness activities such as cycling, 5K training, self-defense classes, dance, Zumba, Yoga, strength & cardio, swim lessons, golf, tennis, soccer and fencing!

The Blandford Nature Center provides you the opportunity to discover nature with a broad offering of community programs and events.

Kent County Health Connect has an online event calendar that highlights healthy living events within the Grand Rapids Hope Zone Neighborhoods.

Blue365 gives access to premier health and wellness discounts and is free to join for BCBSM members. Discounts include travel, personal care, nutrition, home & family, hearing & vision, fitness, and apparel and footwear!

The National Academy of Medicine Action Collaborative focuses on clinician well-being and resilience. They aim to raise the visibility of clinician mental health, improve understanding of the challenges to clinician well-being, and to advance the evidenced-based multidisciplinary solutions.

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services offers same-day psychiatric services and behavioral health counseling with a wide variety of programs and resources.

Anxiety Resource Center offers support groups, and social outings for those who have anxiety disorders and/or OCD.

Grand Rapids Therapy Group offers individual counseling, couples therapy, family counseling, neurofeedback, group therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness exercises for stress reduction.

Vitalist Institute has individual appointments, classes and workshops to help you cultivate your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

The Kent County Health Department offers educational resources on Healthy Eating, Active Living, Sexual Health Education and Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention.

Kent County Health Department provides support services and resources during pregnancy and parenting.

Trinity Health Breastfeeding Support provides services that enable mothers to be successful at breastfeeding.

Lactation rooms at Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital are located straight past the intersection of Lacks Cancer Center and the Hauenstein Center, as well as in the Wege residency clinics on the 3rd and 4th Floors

Baby Beloved, Inc. provides one-on-one breastfeeding help in your home, by phone or in group classes, and offers free printed materials for all stages of breastfeeding.

Women, Infant, Children (WIC) provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education for low-income women and children up to age five.

Financial Peace University provides a nine-week curriculum that focuses on the teachings of Dave Ramsey: basics in budgeting, dumping debt planning for the future, and more. Cost is $109 and sessions begin in October.

Health Professionals Recovery Program is a non-disciplinary program that assists and supports the recovery of substance abuse/chemical dependency problems for licensed or registered health professionals.

The Kent County Health Department is dedicated to supporting efforts in Substance Abuse Disorder Prevention.

SMART Recovery is a community of support-groups to assist in self-management and recovery training for any addiction.

Our Lady of Mercy Chapel - Grand Rapids - Located on the second level of the Trinity Health Lacks Cancer Center, our chapel is open daily from 6 a.m.–9 p.m. Please call the Pastoral Care Department at 616-685-6338 to speak with a chaplain.
