Continuing Medical Education
An annual allowance is available to residents and fellows. PG2 residents and above are also granted additional CME days every academic year to attend approved medical meetings. Funds may also be used to purchase textbooks or educational software.
In addition, the institution provides necessary certification courses for credentialing purposes.
Insurance
- Medical, dental and vision insurance are offered; premium cost is shared by residents and fellows
- Disability and basic life insurance are provided without cost
- Malpractice insurance is provided by the organization at no cost
Meals
A $3,000 meal stipend is provided to all residents and fellows in addition to annual salary.
Retirement Savings
Residents are eligible to participate in the retirement plan.
Vacation
Residents receive up to 4 weeks of paid time off annually.
Licensure
Michigan educational limited licensure, DEA and state pharmacy fees are provided by the residency program for all resident years.
Parking
Parking is free on campus for all residents and fellows.
Leaves of Absence
In accordance with ACGME requirements, residents and fellows are eligible for up to six weeks of paid leave for medical, parental or caregiver leave one time during the training program.
