Trinity Health Ann Arbor recently named Carole Sweet Cardiac Rehab in recognition of a generous gift from Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Sweet in loving memory of his late wife, Carole. Mr. and Mrs. Sweet were long-time participants in Ann Arbor’s cardiac rehab program, and Mr. Sweet directly credits the care and support Carole received in the program with extending and improving her quality of life. His gratitude led him to our SEMI Philanthropy team who helped facilitate this gift in a way that was most meaningful to him, including acknowledging the outstanding care provided to Carole by Manak Sood, MD, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, and providing resources to extend services of the cardiac rehab program to even more patients hoping to take control of their cardiovascular health. Members of the Sweet family joined the cardiac rehab team for a dedication ceremony in the unit held in December 2024.
