This program is designed to increase the vigor, strength, and balance of the senior community (ages 55+). We will be working on exercises and stretches that can reduce your risk of falling and provide a framework for a more healthy lifestyle. Through the course, we will use resistance training to increase your strength, and help maintain an active lifestyle. Registered athletes will experience a great workout, designed for the senior community, and if needed, plenty of exercise modifications. Regular class participants can expect the following outcomes:
- Increased bone mineral density
- Increased balance and reduced risk of falling
- Increased ability to navigate the community more safely
- Increased heart health
- Increased ability to play with family with reduced pain and fatigue
- Increased ability to perform activities of daily life
All classes are designed and led by licensed health and wellness professionals with an extensive background in exercise and sports medicine. All classes will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams. Instructions for how to sign up and join the class will be provided via email after registration.
