Position

One resident position is available at one of our 2 sports rehabilitation and training venues in Livonia, MI.

Admission Requirements

  • Education
    • Completion of training at a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education APTA approved school of Physical Therapy
  • Licensure: eligible to obtain a Physical Therapy License in the state of Michigan
  • Membership: current member of the American Physical Therapy Association - Sport section
  • Training and Experience
    • Minimum of 2 years experience providing care and services for athletes.
    • New graduates are considered
  • Comply with TrinityElite physical therapy general employment requirements, which include a criminal background check and pre- and post-employment drug screening
  • Certification
    • American Red Cross Basic Life Support
    • Certified Athletic Trainer, Licensed Paramedic, or American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists approved EMR certification

  • Online application. Complete the application process online at the Residency/Fellowship Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (RF-PTCAS) website.
  • Application review. The TrinityElite Sports PT Residency Committee carefully reviews each application. Applicants are evaluated by the committee based on these criteria:
    • Academic education and degrees obtained
    • Clinical education and mentoring experiences
    • Clinical experience specific to sports physical therapy
    • Research experience
    • Community service
    • Letters of reference
    • Professional and leadership experience
    • Personal responses to essay questions
    • Post-graduate education
    • Candidates with strong leadership and interpersonal skills and an interest in lifelong learning are preferred.

Interview

Applicants considered for the resident position are invited to an onsite interview (preferred) or virtual interview if accommodations are needed.

Acceptance

Candidates will receive acceptance notifications by early October.
