Current Residents
Kyle Barnhart (Chief PGY V)Kyle is from Cartersville, Ga (about an hour outside of Atlanta) and went to Georgia Tech for undergrad where he majored in biochemistry. After graduation, Kyle was employed as a chemical and research engineer before returning to graduate school for a Master’s degree and eventually his MD from Mercer University School of Medicine. Kyle chose St. Joes because of the early operative experience, close camaraderie of the residents, and the smaller community focus of the program. His surgical interest lies in trauma and critical care and he plans to pursue a critical care fellowship. In his spare time, Kyle is an avid home-brewer and dabbles in woodworking. Kyle is also an enthusiastic outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, hiking, camping, and scuba diving. |

Adam Sobilo (Chief PGY V)Adam grew up in Rochester Hills, MI and received his undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan. He completed medical school at Central Michigan University College of Medicine. Adam enjoys the robust and operating room experience at Trinity Health Oakland as well as working with a cohesive and supportive group of co-residents and teaching faculty. Adam is a huge car enthusiast and loves cruising Woodward Avenue on his way home from the hospital. He also enjoys practicing karate, cooking, playing video games, and taking naps. |

Mark Glover (PGY IV)Mark was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland up until the age of 3. The majority of his childhood was spent in Brazil before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the age of 14. Mark can speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swiss German. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a BS in Biology and minors in Accounting and Mathematics. He then went on to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, FL for medical school, where General Surgery caught his attention. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, watching Tottenham Hotspurs, and traveling. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife, Alexandra, and their dog named Bronco. |

Mulin Xiong (PGY IV)Mulin grew up in the Metro Detroit and greater Boston areas. She went to Dartmouth College for undergrad and Michigan State College of Human Medicine for medical school. She chose Trinity Health Oakland for the breadth and depth of surgical experiences, diverse patient population, and close friendship of a small residency program. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, reading, and traveling. |

Ryan Korlewitz (PGY III)Ryan is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California for his undergraduate degree and after 4 years in the sun, headed back home for his medical education at MSUCOM. In his free time Ryan loves to play golf, tennis, travel, scuba dive, and cheer on the Spartans. Ryan is excited to be at Trinity Health Oakland and hopes to eventually pursue a fellowship in plastics, cardiothoracic surgery, or trauma. |

Meghan Linz (PGY III)Meghan was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She was a student at The Ohio State University prior to attending Ohio University in Athens, Ohio for her medical education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her Bernese Mountain dog named Denali, cooking, watching OSU football, and trying new breweries. |

Harleen Aujla (PGY II)Harleen was born and raised in Mumbai, India before she moved to Indiana at the age of 15. She went to Indiana University Northwest for undergrad and Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. She is delighted to be a part of Trinity Health Oakland because of the excellent operative experience and resident camaraderie that exists in this residency program. Her surgical interests are in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. In her free time, Harleen likes working out, biking, hiking, cooking, and reading fiction novels. |

Corey Suthumphong (PGY II)Corey is originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. He went to undergraduate school at the University of Miami and medical school at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is currently completing a preliminary year in surgery. Afterwards, Corey will pursue general surgery and is interested in a critical care fellowship. In his free time, Corey enjoys home improvement, hiking, and watching car reviews. |

Kiranpreet Kaur (PGY I)I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County for undergad and went to Edward via College of Osteopathic Medicine (Virginia Campus) for medical school. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, play with our dog Simba, and explore new restaurants and coffee shops. In terms of fellowship, I'm currently interested in colorectal surgery and minimally invasive surgery. |

She completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and medical degree at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Hannah Kaufman (PGY I) PrelimOriginally from Ottawa, Ohio, Hannah first completed her degree in sonography and worked in the field for 7 years. She completed another undergraduate degree at The University of Toledo and medical school at Wright State University. She is completing a preliminary year at Trinity Health Oakland and will complete her interventional radiology residency at Indiana University. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, running, and spending time with her dogs. |

In her free time, Kristin likes to play volleyball, play board games, hang out with friends and family and spending time with her rescued Siamese cat name Misha. |
