We are fortunate to collaborate with Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) where the first Infectious Diseases Fellowship in the country of Nepal was established in 2023. PAHS is a National TB Center and referral center and hosts a medical school and residencies with a long history of teaching and hosting international doctors in-training. Fellows who choose this elective may also work with CIWEC Travel Medicine Center, a leading international travel medicine hospital with strong ties to the Center for Diseases Control and International Society of Travel Medicine’s Geosentinel Network of Traveler Surveillance. The fellows can also rotate through the Sukraraj Tropical Medicine hospital, the Nepal National referral site for HIV-associated disease and diseases of the tropics.

With support from our Graduate Medical Office fellows receive funding to cover most travel expenses associated with this rotation.
