Application to the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program may be made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our program accepts one fellow per academic year. For more information about the ERAS fellowship application process, please visit their website here.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicant prerequisites include satisfactory completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited internal medicine residency. Interested applicants should include the following materials in their ERAS application:

  • Three years of Internal Medicine residency training at an ACGME or AOA accredited institution (three years complete at time of application or expected to complete by June 30, 2024).
  • ECFMG certification if a foreign medical school graduate
  • Three letters of recommendation, one of which should be from your Program Director
  • Strong personal statement emphasizing commitment to the field of infectious
  • CV
  • USMLE or COMLEX score reports
  • Medical school transcript and MSPE

Interview Process:

Interviews for the 2024 – 2025 academic year will be conducted virtually to remain fair and equitable for all.

Our program begins reviewing applications at the end of July, and interview offers are typically sent out starting in mid-August.

Interviews are conducted from the beginning of September through the end of October. All interviews must be conducted at least one week prior to NRMP Rank Order List deadline.
