Robotic Surgery Program

Dr. Robert Cleary is the leading robotic Colon and Rectal Surgeon in the state of Michigan. The robotic Colon and Rectal Surgery program now includes 5 robotic colon and rectal surgeons and is part of a multi-disciplinary robotics program at Trinity Health Ann Arbor that includes Urology, Gynecology, Cardiac, Thoracic, General Surgery, and ENT. The Multi-Disciplinary Robotics Committee has a Mission and Vision and meets regularly to monitor outcomes and innovations. Along with Amir L Bastawrous at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Dr. Cleary developed and implemented the annual Association for Program Directors of Colon and Rectal Surgery-sponsored National Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Training Program that was started in 2011 and is designed to standardize robotics training for Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellows.
