Research
The Trinity Health Ann Arbor Colon and Rectal Surgery Residency emphasizes scholarly activity to include meritorious research. We are very active in American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) and Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative (MSQC) database analysis projects, and American College of Surgeons Operative Standards book chapters and manuscripts, all of which have resulted in a presentation at regional and national meetings with the resultant publication. Institutional and multi-institutional comparative studies, as well as randomized controlled trials, are ongoing and also available for resident participation.
