The Emergency Department at Ann Arbor Hospital is a verified American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level I Adult Trauma Center that offers a full range of services, from treating acute conditions to minor injuries and illnesses. In addition, we are a Certified Stroke Center and have been awarded a certificate of merit for outstanding achievement for organ donation by the Michigan Gift of Life.
Our health care team has Board Certified Physicians and Pediatricians who are trained to perform rapid assessments and treatments when seconds count. Emergency Registered nurses are highly trained in caring for patients of all ages and conditions and collaborate with physicians to provide the highest quality of care. To complement our team we have skilled social workers available to help find community and hospital resources so individuals can function well when back in a home environment. A Fast Track area is available in the Emergency Department that specializes in caring for urgent conditions that can be treated quickly.
