Chelsea Hospital Rehabilitation team offers a comprehensive program to help individuals overcome injury or illness and regain independence and function. Services include both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.

Our 24-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation program works in closely with the Michigan Medicine Inpatient Rehabilitation program. We provide a caring, focused environment to maximize each patient's functional ability after hospitalization. Inpatient Rehab is beneficial for individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, amputation, major trauma, neurological disorders or complicated medical conditions with rehab needs. The Inpatient Rehab program includes:
- A highly educated, interdisciplinary team of skilled professionals
- Intensive specialized therapy services including occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech language pathology
- A spacious rehabilitation gym where the team works together with the patient and their family to meet milestones necessary to safely return to the community
- Daily medical supervision by a team of physicians from Michigan Medicine specialized in rehabilitation
- Regular consultations from other physicians to support the patient's medical needs
- A hospital nationally recognized for quality of care and patient satisfaction
- A low nurse to patient ratio with specialized rehabilitation nurses focusing on comprehensive care 24 hours per day

Directions and Parking
Patients and visitors should park in our main parking lot and enter through the Main Entrance. If you are visiting a patient in an Inpatient Rehab patient room, you will either go to Atrium West or Courtyard West. If you are visiting the therapy department, the main location is just inside the Main Entrance to the left.
Atrium West:
Take the elevator directly inside the Main Entrance to the second floor. Atrium West patient rooms are then straight ahead when you exit the elevator.
Courtyard West:
Proceed past the desk and coffee shop inside the Main Entrance. Follow the hall to the right as it curves around the Courtyard. When you reach an intersection at the Chapel, turn left to reach Courtyard West patient rooms.
