Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship
Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program is a one-year community based program that promotes high quality patient and family care in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Our goal is to develop a new generation of experts and leaders in the field who will ensure that patients with serious and often life-limiting illness(es), and their families, receive the best care possible. We emphasize excellence in communication and expert symptom management to minimize suffering and promote quality of life within the context of a patient's goals. Our program offers a wide variety of clinical rotations and educational experiences in a broad array of settings, including scholarly and research opportunities:
- Acute care at Trinity Health Ann Arbor
- Long-term acute care
- Medical and Radiation Oncology
- Geriatrics in a clinic-based consult service
- Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic, longitudinal and ambulatory month

Fellows will gain experience working within and leading an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, nurses, pharmacists and chaplains. Fellows will be eligible to obtain board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the completion of their one year of training. We currently offer two positions per year.
