How It Works
Your surgeon remains by your side in the operating room, seated at the da Vinci system console. From the console, they control the instruments used to perform your surgery with precision.
The da Vinci vision system provides 3D high-definition visuals, offering your surgeon a crystal-clear, magnified view of the surgical area—10 times greater than what the human eye can see.
Your surgeon operates using tiny instruments designed to mimic the movements of a human hand but with a significantly greater range of motion. The system’s tremor-filtration technology ensures that each movement executes with smooth precision.
The system has three key parts:
- Surgeon’s Console – Where the doctor carefully controls every movement.
- Patient-Side Cart – Holds the robotic arms and surgical tools, working with extreme accuracy.
- Vision System – A powerful 3D camera gives the surgeon an incredibly detailed view of the surgical area.
