I went to IHA due to recent high blood pressure reading. The machine at the clinic read 113/80 - which I said I believed to be wrong- I had brought my own blood pressure unit which I said was reading high for over a week- when I told Dr. Brenner he checked both my machine and then took my BP manually which was indeed high- very high- my concern as a patient is if I had not been taking my own BP or if Dr. Brenner had not taken it manually I would have left there with undiagnosed high blood pressure

This was a Wellness visit. I called and asked if it could include a prostate check. The office confirmed. After the basic exam, which included some questions. The Doctor picked up his stuff and headed for the door. I said 'I have some questions and what about the prostate check?' Very pleased with care from Dr. Brenner.Denise, his medical assistant was exceptional. She listened carefully & made me feel at ease about my concerns.Alex, the receptionist who checked me in, was also exceptional. Very compassionate & obviously cares a great deal about the patients he checks in.

One of the items I had question for the doctor the nurse/assistant made notes for the doctor; however, doctor did not discuss with me. Don't know If he just didn't see it or what. I think It was just an over sight as he Is very diligent. I also forgot to ask the question.

Dr. Brenner was more interested in assigning me to another doctor than taking me. I mentioned that I had been w/Winston over 30 yrs. - Dr. Brenner made it clear he was not going to be serving long term. Not a good foundation to build trust.
