This berry lavender lemonade is a delightful and fruity variation on the classic recipe, providing a refreshing and vibrant flavor perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dry lavender
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 2 large lemons, juiced
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup ice (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Lavender Mixture:  Place the water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the lavender and reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in honey. (It’s as though you’re making tea.) Cool the lavender mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours to bring out deeper lavender flavors. Strain the liquid into a pitcher and discard the lavender.
  2. Prepare the Berry Puree:  While the lavender mixture is cooling, puree the mixed berries in a blender until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds, if desired.
  3. Combine and Serve:  Add the lemon juice and berry puree to the lavender mixture, stirring to combine. Pour the lemonade into four glasses and serve with ice, if desired. Store in the refrigerator for a few days, but best enjoyed fresh and chilled.
