CANTON, Mich. (March 9, 2023) – The Farm at Trinity Health announced it has opened online registration for its 2023 Farm Share, which runs from April 12 to December 13 with a variety of subscription options available. Members of the community interested in signing up can register at http://www.stjoesfarm.org/farmshare.

Available at both the Trinity Health Ann Arbor and Trinity Health Oakland hospital campuses, the Farm Share is a weekly or bi-weekly box with six to eight produce items sourced exclusively from local farmers. Following sign up, farm share members will receive a weekly newsletter with farmer highlights, recipes, education and more.

Since 2014, The Farm at Trinity Health has been connecting people to fresher, more local produce through Farm Shares. Farm Share members report improved quality of life and greater consumption of fruits and vegetables.

The Farm Share program is designed with the understanding that each family’s food needs are different. The program offers a variety of membership types and payment options to choose from. Members can sign up for a full annual pass (36 weeks) or choose individual seasons (12 weeks in spring, summer, or fall). Weekly or bi-weekly options are available, and shares can be picked up throughout a 5-day pick-up window.

In addition to these payment options, members can use their SNAP/EBT benefits at a 75% discount (Ann Arbor site only) or select to pay on a sliding scale, based on their income. The new sliding scale feature is part of an initiative to increase equity and serve more people. As part of this effort, The Farm raises funds every year to ensure that those who are experiencing food insecurity can receive a box of food for free. Those in need of immediate food resources can visit http://www.stjoesfarm.org/need-help-getting-food to register in the assistance program.
