In recognition of Armed Services Day on May 20, Trinity Health is featuring our Military And Veterans Health Care Program (MilVet) program as part of our commitment to improve health care for the brave men and women of the United States Military and their families. We are pleased that MilVet is a Michigan-wide Trinity Health program!
As an organization committed to providing care that is culturally proficient, Trinity Health is proud to offer the MilVet initiative in recognition and appreciation of our own colleagues and community's military veterans. The goal of this program is to provide military service members, veterans and families convenient access to high-quality, culturally sensitive, people-centered health care services that meet your specific needs.
Training completed by many of our colleagues provides tools to build meaningful, healing relationships with our health care teams. With enhanced knowledge and empathy, we proudly stand alongside and compassionately serve our veteran patients.
Meeting military service members' and veterans' health care needs is an important part of our overarching mission to enhance our community's health. Trinity Health has a long and distinguished history of offering compassionate health care to our military service members dating back to the Civil War. Our founding congregations helped staff U.S. military hospitals and the first Navy hospital ship, caring for wounded soldiers.
