2 to 5 p.m. – Test Drive a da Vinci Robot
5 to 6 p.m. – Surgeon Presentations with Q&A Session
Join us this September for our Robotic Surgery Showcase! This special three-day event is open to anyone interested in learning about robotic surgery. We will have a da Vinci Xi robot and the Ion system onsite. Attendees will have an opportunity to sit at the console and explore this fascinating technology. A handful of our robotic surgeons will also be available to answer questions as well.
Robotic surgery has transformed the operating room, for both patients and surgical teams. Robotic-assisted surgeries offer smaller incisions, decreased risk for infection which for patients translates to:
- Less pain
- Less blood loss
- Fewer complications
- Less scarring
- Shorter hospital stay
- Faster return to normal daily activities
Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday:
Test Drive a da Vinci Robot
2 to 5 p.m.
Everyone is invited to learn about our surgical robots – the Ion and da Vinci Xi – and have a chance to test drive it and experience the precision necessary for surgery. Our surgical team will demonstrate how these robots are used and explain the types of surgeries for which they are used.
Robotics teams and their families are welcome to drop in during this timeframe individually or in groups.
Monday, September 11 – Oncology & Acute Care Surgery
5 to 6 p.m.
Cancer can affect anyone and can be a long treatment process for many patients. Hear from our cancer surgical experts on how they use our robotic technology to help fight different types of cancer. Bring a friend or family member and learn about the latest therapies and procedures available.

Tuesday, September 12 – Gynecology & Pelvic Floor Surgery
5 to 6 p.m.

Abdominal disorders including pelvic or rectal organ prolapse, uterine fibroids, or other uterine issues are common and very treatable. Bring a friend or family member and learn about the latest therapies and procedures available to eliminate or reduce your symptoms.
