Dr. Jonker is board certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts and another fellowship in mucosal immunology and nutrition at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.

I was lucky to have Dr. Jonker do my emergency appendectomy. He explained everything and made me feel at ease. My follow-up visit was great. He answered all my questions and I feel he really cared about me as a person.

I鈥檝e had nothing but excellent experiences with Dr. Jonker. His calm and collected demander is very relatable for me and makes me feel comfortable. I love that I never feel rushed with Dr. Jonker, either. I feel listened to and respected, and we always have plenty of time to go over questions, which I never feel silly for asking. 10/10 would recommend.
