Outstanding doctor
I was unsure about how the appt would be conducted, because it's not exactly a comfortable topic to discuss issues having to do with the colo-rectal region, but Dr. Shanker put me at ease, so that I did not feel as uncomfortable.
Dr. Beth Shanker MD and her nurse did an amazing job, I'd highly recommend them for anything.
I look forward to treatment for my condition.

Frustrating wait time
Beth was very kind and aware of how I felt between the start of my procedure to the next steps. She made sure I understood what the next steps were and helped keep me optimistic. She also validated the pain I was in ensuring I was given the right medication to help relieve that.

I鈥檓 glad Dr John C. Eggenberger, MD was there for me however, the nurses in there are complete angels, so nice so kind make sure they explain whatever they can to you. My nurse even called me the following day to check up on me and the next day they deserve a lot of recognition the nurses all over the hospital, but in particular the outpatient area unbelievable people:-)

Dr. Shanker and the IHA team is the result of requesting a 2nd opinion. I had a previous surgery that I was not happy with. That surgery left me with more concerns, pains and problems. In addition, I was dismissed, hurt and confused. Left with no clear answers or explanations. I sought a different opinion and I was referred to IHA. I am so happy for it! Although my situation is uncomfortable, I am now less depressed, I feel more feminine and I have providers that are patient and understanding. I love it here

The provider was friendly, knowledgeable & efficient.
There were a couple of conditions mentioned in the notes from the visit that I didn't know I had. Looked them up, and nothing seems to be particularly worrisome at this point. I will ask about them in my follow up visit.

After the physical exam I would have appreciated her coming back to give us a verbal summary of her findings. Also, those findings should be in the After-Visit Summary
