The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Trinity Health Muskegon is a 4 year ACGME initial accreditation residency that accepts new residents annually.
Trinity Health's residency program is based in Muskegon, Michigan. The majority of the program experience will occur at the Trinity Health Muskegon, Hackley and Grand Rapids campuses. In addition, residents will perform PICU & Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Our residency program is strongly affiliated with Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine Statewide Campus System providing significant benefits associated with a nationally renowned university.
Our Mission
The goal of this program is to produce clinically outstanding emergency physicians in addition to molding professional, administrative and academic leaders. The mission of the residency echoes that of the Trinity Health system which is to be the leader of safe, high quality, patient-centered, compassionate, health related services. The program emphasizes integrity, respect and support for all people, accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
At Trinity Health Muskegon, residents can expect exposure to excellent and variable pathology at an ever growing pace of over 100,000 ER patients visits per year. This challenging program also offers a significant amount of in-house exposure to trauma, cardiovascular, neurological and critical care.
