Program Director Statement
Thank you for your interest in our program! Below, you'll find some information on our program, that is hopefully helpful during your decision-making process.
Our ACGME accredited 2-year Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Training Program is structured to provide outstanding clinical training leading to Board eligibility in Critical Care Medicine. Our program’s strength lies in the abundant clinical exposure fellows experience during their training. This stems from the diverse patient population that we see at Trinity Health Ann Arbor, a prestigious 560-bed teaching hospital, leading to a wealth of clinical experiences. Situated on an expansive 340-acre campus, our hospital has proudly served as a top healthcare provider for over a century and has been honored as a Top 100 Hospital by Fortune/IBM Watson, our institution is part of the renowned Trinity Health Michigan network.
The CCM fellowship will include rotations in the Critical Care Medical Unit, Neurological Critical Care Unit, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Anesthesia, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Palliative Care, Nutrition and several electives. The CCM fellow will rotate in the Critical Care Medical Unit four months each year. Broad clinical experience, interactive workshops/ simulations, and both synchronous and asynchronous learning will be at the center of a fellow's education. We offer competitive opportunities to be trained in point-of-care ultrasound experience and provide the qualifications to sit for the echocardiography boards. Our goal is to support you, by providing the tools you'll need to thrive in any critical care setting.
Our multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to education, patient safety, and quality is integral to this training. We seek to select a diverse group of highly qualified candidates and foster their career advancement through broad clinical experience in a community setting offering state-of-the-art training in a structured but nurtured setting.
