The Design Process
The new medical center has been designed using an exemplary process called True North. Trinity Health Muskegon is one of the first health systems in the nation to use the lean process to design a new medical center. By applying lean methodology to the hospital setting with the patient as the central focus, the result is a hospital that is uniquely designed for our community. Many people – physicians, patients, front-line staff and volunteers – spent thousands of hours designing, testing and redesigning to optimize the patient-care experience.

The Groundbreaking
On the beautiful, sunny morning of Sept. 20, 2016, Trinity Health Muskegon celebrated a very special groundbreaking event to mark the beginning of the construction phase of the new medical center.
The Topping-Off Ceremony
On Oct. 26, 2017, the final beam was placed on the new medical center. Signed by thousands of people, the beam infuses the thoughts and words of so many members of our community into the heart of the new medical center.
