I have heard of other patients (neighbors, etc.) talk about being rushed through IHA appointments due to IHA time restrictions. However,, I have not found this to be the case in this practice. They take the time that is needed, while delicately balancing their own workload and patient needs. This is NOT assembly line medicine, please keep it that way!!!

This was an unusual occurrence, but I found it difficult to communicate with Dr. Katial who seemed to be upset about my having not completed my bone density scan. I did explain that I had scheduled an appointment which had been canceled, but the interaction overall seemed negative.

The nurse let me know that I needed to see Dr. Katail before my prescription for an SSRI could be filled. I did a short mental health assessment. I discussed with Dr. Katail many aspects of my mental and physical health care, as it is quite complex. She shared with me some recent developments in evidenced-based medical care and referred me to the cancer center for further assessment risk. When I requested it, she arranged for my shingles booster at the same visit. So, there was a LOT to cover, and as always I'm so impressed with her thoroughness and concern.

My visit with Dr. Katial yesterday was just wonderful! She made It seem as though she had all the time in the world to talk to me when I am sure that was not at all the case. She was professional, kind, patient, informative and compassionate, all of which made for a pleasant visit which is not normally what one expects, as no one really enjoys going to the doctor I suspect.
Dr. K has been my doctor for many years. On this visit, she found an organization, I never heard of, that could help with my problem. It always seems to me Dr.K do everything possible to help me.
