Tauqir Goraya, MD, PhD is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography and echocardiography. Dr. Goraya brings nearly 15 years of practice and extensive clinical research experience as a cardiologist. He has been a principal investigator in a variety of cardiac trials. His clinical interests include advanced non-invasive/multimodality imaging, complex valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy and pericardial disease. Dr. Goraya also has additional training in adult comprehensive echocardiography, cardiovascular computed tomography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Goraya is the founding member of the Society of Cardiovascular CT and is currently the President of Michigan Heart.

Dr. GORAYA was extremely comfortable in my first appointment with him, he didn鈥檛 rush through my appointment. He explained things that I could understand, and answered my questions. Not only was he professional but he was also personable and that鈥檚 what you need in a doctor, especially when you鈥檙e meeting them for the first time. I would highly recommend him.

The Chelsea office has particularly cheerful and helpful staff. The receptionist was very helpful and the intake nurse was great also. She demonstrated interest in what I had to say and was skillful in conucting an ekg. Dr. Goraya is exceptional and I am very happy that I am his patient.

I had to choose "Very Good", but EXCELLENT would be a better description of both of my providers. Super knowledge was shown as well as care for my current and future health. The blood tests they recommended helped me relax. The future test in December will also help me.

RE medical assistantAs a new patient to a cardiologist, I would have appreciated being informed of why someone was doing a EKG without really verifying who I was, why I was there or who ordered and why I needed an EKG. I respect efficiency but not to the point of poor patient care through being so hurried.The cardiologist was Highly professional, relaxed, well prepared, calmed my worries, answered questions, gave great information and prepared a plan. Excellent!His professionalism and attention to the patient needs to be reflected and implemented by all his support staff from the time the patient enters the 'reception' area.

I was really impressed when the doctor found out that the company (who was supposed to do the data from my heart monitor) did not give him the results - how he got the info & then called me at home that night to make sure I knew right away. Most doctors would have a nurse call the next day or two but he called me personally that night. What a wonderful caring person.
