Dr. LaVigne has been my primary care physician since 2008. About 8-10 years ago I called the practice with a health concern; they said that they would have someone get back with me soon. Though this was the first time I got my health checkup done, the provider was really patient enough to answer all my questions and explain me what the tests are done for and how they are performed. I was really happy with this visit.
As a transgender patient it's important to have a doctor that makes me feel comfortable. She and all the staff were respectful of the name I use, even though it differs from my legal name, and used my pronouns correctly and told me to let them know if they accidentally made a mistake. They were comforting, listened to what I needed, and took me seriously. I felt instantly comfortable with the people on staff.
