First time I have been to this doctor with a first time problem. Dr. J. was so smart and answered all my questions. He spoke clearly and slowly so I could absorb all he said. He gave me lots of extra info to bring home and I liked that.

Dr Johnson worked with his scheduling staff to find a way to schedule my surgery so I could participate in my religious practice. He personally called me to let me know that he had found a way to schedule my surgery to accommodate my plans.
I was extremely anxious about whatever was going on with my thumb. staff is excellent, welcoming and considerate. I was called back almost immediately. doc casein quickly, listened patiently, asked some questions, did a few manual tests, then explained my choices. very straightforward presentation, clear explanation of risks for each of the choices. I chose the cortisone injection. it was basically painless, I was all worked up for naught. had a great result, the injection lasted about 8 months. just went back for a second one. asked about problems with my opposite hand, and he immediately did X-rays, and a pokey test. need surgery for this one and feel safe and comfortable in his care.
I have always had an excellent experience with all of the people I have encountered at Chelsea hospital. it's kind of amazing.

Dr. Johnson is a new doctor to me since Dr Fitzsimmons left, and this is only my second visit but was very familiar with my prior hand issues

Dr. S. Johnson was kind to my daughter and spoke directly to her. Answered her questions and listened to her concerns. She was comfortable interacting with him and his staff, and they all treated her respectfully as an inividual. No babying or talking over her. We had such a good experience.

Nothing but good things to say about Dr Johnson. All but one tech were also wonderful and friendly. Any issues with casting/splinting were remedied quickly and done in a caring manner, understanding that kids sometimes “goof up� on maintaining these properly. Thank you for your patience!
