It was a most positive experience. Staff were friendly and efficient. This was a podiatry visit and I surely appreciated having EASY and SHORT access to the office from the parking area in Plymouth unlike McAuley--and then to find that the parking lot was free for three hours--THANKS.. I considered other podiatry offices in Ann Arbor area, but really wanted IHA and finally called to make appt (thinking I would need to get someone to wheel me In) . How wonderful to learn about Plymouth. I was willing to drive to Plymouth for the easy access. When feet hurt, the last thing you want to do is walk in blocks from lot and then another long walk up to fourth floor. Dr. Adelman was absolutely wonderful in all aspects and would recommend him highly to everyone--and the Plymouth office.

Dr. Adelman seems to know what he is talking about, but the lack of written records present during our visits make it feel like there is little consistency in the treatment plan over time. I believe that the treatment of my plantar fasciitis is based largely on my experiential description of pain, but when he neither takes notes, nor refers to notes, nor even looks at my foot, the appointment feels like a farce.

I do believe that Dr. Adelman is a kind and conscientious doctor. I do need to comment on the website though. The website had the wrong address and phone number on it, so I went to the wrong building. This was going to make me late for my appointment. I tried to call to let the office know that I would be late. Unfortunately the website also had the wrong phone number on it. I also had a phone number in my phone, from previous visits, but this did not work. Thankfully everyone in the office was understanding of my predicament, and they were still able to see me.

Something that was bothersome though, granted a small thing in the scheme of things, but the physician did not introduce himself upon entering he room, nor did he address me by name. Also another physician came in the room mid-consult to observe(?). Neither she nor Dr. Adelman introduced her and stated her reason for being there. Having worked as a volunteer on some quality assurance projects at St. Joe's a few years ago, I was reminded that this sort of courtesy is both helpful and frankly needed to assure a quality interaction between the provider and patient.

I liked Dr Adelman very much. Most importantly, the medication he prescribed seems to be working very well. The medical visit notes are inaccurate, because not all they say was actually part of the visit. Some details about care of plantar fasciitis I know about from a case I had about 8 years ago when I saw a different podiatrist. Those details were not discussed at this visit. Even though the visit notes say they were. And once I got the visit notes I went to the internet to get more information about the diagnosis and treatment. That was helpful. This visit itself was so hurried, as to be not completely informative about the diagnosis. I think it could have been much more clear at the time of my visit. I am satisfied with the diagnosis and treatment, however.

The doctor and assistant were articulate, precise with their diagnosis and asked questions that were efficient (without coming across as cold or calculating) and caring. I was incredibly impressed and appreciated their time helping me figure out the chronic pain (15 years) in my feet. Just required some new insoles and some stretching exercises. Major kudos to the IHA staff!

This was my first time ever seeing a podiatrist. Both the resident and the physician listened to me well. I was told there's no infection which took a load off me. They listened and acted to my needs as an individual. BRAVO to all.

This office was great! The staff was friendly and helpful! I was very happy with my visit.
Dr. Adelman has gone above and beyond since he was first brought onto my case. His resident at St. Mary's by the name of Joshua was kind, funny and kept the energy light so I would not stress out. Dr. Adelman did the same. He answered all of my husbands questions that we had been asking each other since I found out I needed surgery and Dr. Adelman gave us in-depth responses that put our minds at ease. I do not wish to have another incident with my foot but if I ever do, Dr. Adelman is the man I'd go back to for help.

Asked for advice during period waiting for MRI, did not receive any. MRI appt wait initially was 3 week! Dr office was able to shorten wait to 1 week.

Dr. Adelman could have went into more detail about what to expect from the treatment - how long to wear brace daily, pain, medication, etc. I messaged him several days in a row to get answers to these questions - all were answered within a couple hours.

I was very pleased with Dr. Adelman and his staff. They are always very courteous and helpful. I had previous bilateral plantar fasciitis surgery with Dr. Adelman and would HIGHLY recommend him to anybody in need of foot care. I wish there were more doctors like him!

The provider is very open, friendly and gave great information. There was not one thing I disliked about him. I have not had this type of experience in an office in a very long time. Everything runs very smoothly it's pretty amazing!
