We really like Dr. Pike!!

Dr. Pike is the most effective doctor my sons, between them, to include various specialists and general pediatricians, have ever had. She listens: she interacts with them directly in a way that is empathetic and relatable. She usually starts their appointments with, 鈥淪o how are things going? How is school? How are your sports? How are things feeling?'s I love this. She also provides exceptional care and service to us as a family and with me as a parent: discussing general updates, fielding concerns and questions, and getting the information needed to complete forms for school, sports and other health-related services quickly. She is also one of the few people who has an instinct for working with ..., a special needs patient, in the best way: she is somehow able to acknowledge his agency while, simultaneously, maintaining the patience and concern he needs.

I asked for a health appraisal form at the check out, the receptionist gave me a copy with incorrect doctor and date information. I had to come back to ask the front desk receptionist, he carefully fixed everything. I am very appreciative of his help. I feel everyone was working under pressure, the office is short staffed.

From the very first visits years ago and now, as our child is navigating very challenging physical and mental/emotional health issues Dr. Pike has been compassionate, understanding an excellent listener and has the ability to explain complex issues with clarity directly to our child with affirmation and respect. She is an excellent communicator with the other health care specialists at U & M & St. Joe's. A++ all the way.
