Marissa Johnson, PT, DPT, ATC, CIMT

Marissa Johnson is a physical therapist at the Plymouth clinic. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Kent State University and is a certified athletic trainer (ATC).

She previously worked in the Virginia area as a high school athletic trainer while obtaining her Doctorate degree. Marissa’s approach to treatment is to combine a hands-on approach with a well-established exercise and neuromuscular retraining program. She has become a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT), which has trained her to use an eclectic hands-on approach in finding the root-cause of patient’s pain.

Marissa has a background in athletics but enjoys working with many different populations and is committed to giving the very best care to all patients. She enjoys spending time with family, including her husband and dog, and baking in her spare time.
