Provider was very diligent in brainstorming with me of how to make this plan for breastfeeding and supplementing with business of 4 kids. She answered all my questions and concerns.

Lisa did not make me feel supported in my breastfeeding journey. She repeatedly emphasized that I am a slow producer and wanted me to increase my number of pumps per day including middle of the night without first asking if that is possible in my situation. She made me feel judged about things I don't have control over like the speed of my let down and I left the office wondering if I should just stop pumping. She also kept patting my knee without asking me if it's okay and that made me feel uncomfortable overall.

The provider was brusque, rude, did not fully listen to our questions and gave confusing information. She took our concerns and amplified them into dire future scenarios. Rather than identifying pain points and helping us make a plan, she overdiagnosed issues without involving us in discussion of the best way forward. We won't be returning.

Dr. Hammer was great! She took the time to explain everything to me as well as a discussion about future decisions and discuss each/all of my questions. She was very sensitive to the difficult nature of what is going on.

*Dr. Hammer bedside manner was not there, I got the spiel and she was on her way. Didn't tell me anything I didn't know. Cancelled all future appointments.

I have seen a number of lactation consultants in recent months. This provider was by far the least sensitive and compassionate. She asked me lots of questions I had already answered and I felt that she was rushed and did not care to really understand our history or our needs.

Dr. Hammer and her nurse were awesome. The visit did not feel rushed and they took the time to really assess myself and my son and to explore and explain all of our options. I felt very at ease and well informed during our appointment. Definitely would recommend!

We love Dr. Hammer and I am so grateful that I was referred to her. Motherhood is hard to begin with, but having breastfeeding needs and then finding out that I have a child who has just general feeding needs - it has been so wonderful to have someone in my corner who is as skilled, knowledgeful, and compassionate as Dr. Hammer and her team.

Dr. Hammer is one in a million. She very clearly loves what she does and is extremely good at it - I feel spoiled having her and her associates as a resource for breastfeeding. After our visit and directly because of the physical and psychological tools provided by Dr. Hammer, my son and I established a pattern of exclusive breastfeeding. He gained 8 oz in 4 days, which the pediatrician remarked was 'amazing'. Without Dr. Hammer's razor-sharp attention and innovation within the field, who knows how long it would've taken us. She is an astute listener, drawing in all the patient data to get a clear understanding of the situation, and she delivers her recommendations in a way that ensures the patient understands what to do when she leaves the office. I cannot speak highly enough about her. Also, [. . .] the receptionist was extremely helpful in getting an appointment ASAP. She promptly called me when a cancellation happened, and I was able to book an appointment for the next day!

excellent experience, I really feel like Dr Hammer was listening to my concerns and didn't just give me routine advice for breastfeeding, which is what I felt like I was getting before her. Since my situation was far from routine it was wonderful that she validated my concerns, even if she couldn't solve it herself!!
