Words cannot express the unbridled elation of actually being heard by a doctor for the first time in 37 years of life as a woman. I know that sounds dramatic, but if you are a woman you know exactly what I鈥檓 talking about. She asked relevant questions, listened to my history, and offered the right tests to help find me a solution's not just another 鈥渓ose weight's excuse. In fact, she said, and I quote, 鈥測ou will never hear that from me.'s Can I just say, I almost cried right then and there? Because wow. You never know how impactful words can be until they hit you like that. I have lived and seen doctors across 4 different states and the insight she provided at my appointment were life changing. It made so much sense and It is almost infuriating that not one doctor has ever come to this very likely possibility. I am so grateful my friend told me about Dr. Carney, and I鈥檓 so glad I made an appointment with her. I am a creature of habit so moving from all ascension care to St Joes is a tough move for me and out of my comfort zone so you can see how important it was for me to find Dr. Carney and switch to IHA to have her as my PCP again.
I'm feeling better
I was seeing this provider at another office and when I heard she was not there anymore and I found out she was at IHA I promptly switched and had my files transferred as a new patient to your practice.
My first visit left me optimistic.
The scheduler/manager, Brandi, was very kind at check in. The nurse, Michelle, was extremely kind. She smiled and was helpful. The DOCTOR prescribed me drugs in ERROR because she kept interupting and inferring I WAS MISTAKEN about what I experienced.
My only frustration was the wait time before being seen.
