"I first became interested in physical therapy following an ankle injury from soccer. Basketball season was coming soon, and I was concerned I wasn't going to be able to play. I was sent to a PT, and she helped me return to running without pain. This has motivated me to help others return to the activities that they love."

Karl earned a doctoral degree in physical therapy from Central Michigan University and holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science, with a minor in coaching, from Michigan Technological University. Between college and graduate school, he worked for one year as a person trainer.

While in graduate school, Karl completed research on improving ambulation confidence in elderly patients, as well as a case study on reducing pain in a patient with thoracic outlet syndrome.

As a manual therapist, he strongly believes in the importance of exercise and nutrition. He treats patients of all orthopedic diagnoses, as well as TMJ problems, vestibular/dizziness issues and headaches.

Karl likes to read, cook and enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, soccer and plays guitar, ukulele and drums.
