About
Dr. Koenig received his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed his family medicine residency at St. John Providence Macomb in Macomb, Michigan. His clinical interests include caring for patients across the spectrum from preventative health to complex illnesses. He also has specific interests in academic medicine, urgent care, procedures and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
When asked about his philosophy of care, Dr. Koenig said,
“I collaborate with patients and other medical team members to provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based care plan, while always being an advocate for the patient. This includes creating a compassionate, inclusive and safe place where every patient is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their personal values, beliefs and identity.”
In his spare time, Dr. Koenig enjoys spending time with his family, three dogs and cat, golfing, woodworking, gaming and hiking.
