He has wide ranging experience in management techniques for trauma, compressive neuropathies, nerve and tendon injuries, arthritis and fractures. Resident doctors from several hospital programs benefit from his teachings when they are on his service. Again, I am very impressed with Dr. H as from the first visit, he has taken the time to explain in detail the whole process of my care in healing my fracture.

I feel there is always room for learning,....the ONLY thing I would have appreciated is being shown the xrays by Dr. Hogikyan. It could be a physican preference scenario, however, Dr. Greene always had her laptop and always showed me my films (even comparison films as I healed). Dr. H didn't carry a laptop, so I understand again this may be his practice style, but at least offering it to patients/parents would be appreciated. Times have advanced and I feel its not uncommon for anyone to want to see this. Again, this isn't a complaint, just a learning suggestion since we all continue to learn regardless of our age, profession, etc. I also could have spoke up and asked, so it's not totally on Dr. H! I will do so at our revisit in 3 weeks for sure!

Dr. Hogikyan is very compassionate. Takes his time, explains everything and answers every question. He makes sure you understand the procedure, what caused the injury, and what recovery will be like. I wouldn't trust my hands with anyone else.

Dr Hogikian seen me for my second post-op visit and follow up for return to work in the next week. We talked about the surgery and how satisfied I was with the results. The surgery outcome Is better than I expected. We spoke about what I should hopefully see In Improvement over the next 6 months. We talked about scaring around the incision and what to expect. We agreed to a 6 month follow up to assess if an Increased strength and decreased numbness is improving. (Nothing wrong here as before the surgery I had extreme pain in the wrist and elbow and numbness In the fingers - to the point I could not work ) Now the pain is gone and I have great improvement In the numbness .

Dr Hogikyan is a very knowledgeable and thoughtful physician. His philosophy is to do the least invasive form of treatment first and then move on from there. I appreciate that way of doing things. He is soft spoken and kind. He was careful to explain the situation to me, tell me the options for treatment and then listen to what I treatment I would prefer. He listened to my concerns carefully and was never in a rush. I had seen Dr. Hogikyan 4 years ago for a different problem. Because he was such an excellent doctor, I asked to see him again.

I had never been to a hand doctor this was my first experience I found him very pleasant knowledgeable and answered all my questions I definitely would go back to him if I have a recurring problem and I would definitely refer him to any of my friends or family my only problem and it was not with the doctor but getting in for my appointment originally I had to wait three months and I understand they're busy but that's an awful long time if you are in painBut I called every couple weeks to see if there was a cancellation which thankfully there was and I was able to get in a month sooner

I waited about forty minutes before I was seen by the doctor. I was his last patient. He seemed tired and in a hurry. He didn't seem to be knowledgeable about why I was just. During the visit he was uncaring, uninterested, insensitive, unkind, confusing. I felt like nothing but a number to him, like I wasn't worthy of his attention. I left the office never wanting to return. Also, when my visit was through, I had one last question for him about when I should return. The nurse went to ask him and he didn't remember who I was! Dr seemed uninterested - never lifted arm to point to wall chart - would've like to have known what was broken before the final visit, had to ask if radius was broken, got a 'yes'.Seemed out of touch with general work force - my profession requires the use of various hand tools & the driving of heavy machinary...doctor told me to wash dishes, fold clothes, & cook. (don't do those things)Wrist & hands not fully functioning / tendon sticking up in center of hand, thumb & first finger still numb during use.On last visit doctor asked what I would like him to tell me (psychotherapists use this).Gave my own prognoses of being better some day...he went with that.

Possibly a CT scan to see what was making my hand hurt/not just the cortisone shot.

Excellent! Dr. Hogikyan is terrific! His medical assistant (I can't remember her name) was also great. I was especially impressed that the office seems very calm. I value that when receiving medical attention.

I have had to see a hand surgeon several times in my life and have always used Dr. Hogikian. He is excellent and I trust his knowledge and expertise.

overall experience was great, like i mentioned above each person did their job well. I sat not longer than 5 mins in the waiting room, and the same in the exam room, and the Physician himself is great, and checking in and out was easy.

He did a good job. The nurse or PA - I don't know which it - was that took care of my broken wrist was EXCELLENT. She should get a raise. (Red headed) didn't get her name.

The doctor seemed courteous and knowledgeable about his field. However, he did not seem to know my history beforehand, which should have been available on my chart.

This was an extremely satisfying appointment. Dr. Hogikyan was thorough and caring. I feel confident in the care I receive from him. I'm looking forward to actually seeing his face. I am so tired of masks concealing faces.
