I had emergency brain surgery, which was very scary for my family and me. My Husband and family told me a few days after the surgery that when Dr. Thawani came out to talk to them after the surgery he was very easy to talk to, explained things very well and made sure everyone's questions were answered. He and his team have made this experience a much easier calmer situation than you would have thought it would have been. Thank you to the entire team for saving my life.

Dr. Thawani was excellent! He has great communication and people skills. His awesome personality made me feel at ease going into surgery. He was able to answer all of my questions which made it easier for me to feel calm even through the pain. People told me that I should not get back surgery, but I'm glad I did it. It's great not being in pain and the surgery saved me from nerve damage that could have left me unable to use my left foot or feel the lower portion of my leg (which had already began to happen). Three weeks after surgery, I gained back the feeling of my leg and the use of my foot. I am grateful to Dr. Thawani for his knowledge and expertise in this field!!

Everything about this visit was terrific. Dr Thawani had reviewed my record before coming into the exam room and explained everything in a manor I could understand.
I like the way Dr. Thawani knew the kind of lifestyle I lived prior to the back injury and wanted to make sure that I get back to my life of being active and working out. I like how he cautioned me in removing some of the exercises I used to do to prevent re-injuring myself. He also left notes for the PT to help me get back into an exercise routine gradually.
A great team. It was easy to get an appointment., I was greeted by the receptionist right away, I was taken to the exam room right away, and Dr. Thawani came within minutes. Dr Thawani had studied my record before greeting me and explained everything in a manor I could understand. He was knowledgeable, kind and patient.
I recently had major cervical spine surgery to treat myelopathy and radiculopathy and Dr. Thawani was my surgeon. He put me at ease and explained everything very clearly. The surgery went very well and he and his team have been consistently available to answer any questions. Not only was Dr. Thawani great but everyone on his team was also very professional and helpful. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Thawani was excellent! He spent plenty of time with me, answered all my questions and concerns and did not make me feel rushed at all. I really appreciated his suggestions to take a more conservative approach initially rather than jump right to surgery. He was very thorough in going through my MRI with me and even jotted down some notes for me when I thought I wouldn't be able to remember certain details. He was very patient and kind. And I feel that if I have any follow-up questions, I can post them in the portal & I think he would respond in a timely manner. This was one of the best experiences I have had with a medical specialist.

I was in severe back pain when I was scheduled for this appt., both Minerva and Dr. Thawani were amazing for taking the time to listen to me. I was then scheduled for surgery the next day.
