The excessive wait time without communication was ridiculous. If another patient is 45 minutes late they should lose their spot and the dr should see other patients that are on time.
This was my first visit to a cardiologist. Dr. Cyril Ruwende was very nice, very thorough, asked Me lots of questions and answered all of our questions (my wife accompanied me). Dr. Ruwende was in a rush and took all the time we needed. He explained next steps in detail until we were comfortable. Happy with the visit in a stressful situation.

As always, Dr. Ruwende is, in my opinion, a superb cardiologist. He listens, he explains. He comforts. This next is not about him, it's about IHA. I understand that the epidemic has seriously affected health care everywhere, not just at IHA. But I got lucky this time; Dr. R had a cancellation which I filled; otherwise his schedule is full out to October!! This is true throughout IHA. The only place I have been able to get to see a doctor WHEN I NEEDED ONE is at Urgent Care. The several docs I have seen there have been excellent . .. Knowledgeable, thorough, backed up by careful assistants (x-ray, ekg, etc.) But my regular docs: primary, pulmonary, cardiology, neurology. . . Are all scheduling out months in advance. You either need more doctors, or fewer patients.
Dr. R is always kind and patient but he doesn't have any more answers than I do to why my heart health hasn't improved.
