My experiece has been that this practice does great with the surgery, but drops the ball on being concerned about how pain management is working for the patient. It made me feel like the pain was my fault. I also feel like there is poor coordination between the doctor/PA and the physical therapist. And I would like to have had better instruction on what my acivity level at home should look like as I went along.
I felt Dr. Carpenter layed out the alternatives to surgery and after explaining them was helpful in giving me the best options to try at this time.

He explained my hip degeneration very clearly and we agreed that a hip replacement was my best course of action. I waited in the exam room for a very long time. Finally the doctor came in and told me that a patient had passed out in the waiting area. Until then, I didn't know why I was waiting so long.

Dr. Carpenter is wonderful! I spoke with him about another big health issue I'm facing, and he said we could reschedule my surgery if necessary. He usually walks in with nothing in hand, but knows everything about my case when he sits and talks with me.

Very efficient office. Quick competent safe X-ray. Resident let me say as much as I felt was important to convey. Dr Carpenter a very good listener and when he could not answer a question he was quick to admit. Really appreciate that! Respected my decision to not get an injection after reading side effects. Filled out long form but a couple of errors made on current med list on report.

I needed a new knee brace, Tammy took her time and found the correct fitting one.
This was my first visit so the Dr. did not have access to all my records from Henry Ford Allegiance Health System so I was able to update what he needed. Now that hospital is linked to this one. Very good experience. Will be going back for surgery.

Very direct - Not very much explanation & times for the procedure would be at least 3-4 months later - Not good for someone in pain daily to hear wait 3/4 months.
