The provider was a nurse practitioner and not a Urologist, so she didn't seem to have all the details associated with my medical history. The provider was a little confusing to me when discussing next steps. I expected more concrete, definitive direction on next steps regarding a timeline, but things were sort of left 'up in the air'.
She was a good screener for this specialty.
I was very impressed with how quick I was able to get an appointment and how thorough the PA was - from telling me to stop all antibiotics since the urine sample was normal, to ordering important diagnostic tests to get to the source. And, I was able to get some tests Immediately .

Constance and I did not connect very well. She became impatient when I asked numerous questions about a treatment she suggested. She seemed shocked that Dr. Semerjian had not suggested it when I saw her last year. She left the exam room to check a result from my most recent yearly exam and never returned, but rather sent her assistant to report the result was normal. I'm sure Constance Is a very good provider most of the time and for most people However,her style and approach just weren't right for me. As a retired school counselor, It Is my belief that effective communication must be equal parts talking and listening. I will wait until Dr, Samerjian is available when I make my next appointment.

Terrible. When my wife made the appointment she explained what was going on from my hospital visit. When the nurse came into the room, she had no idea about my history. First thing she said was we should not have taken out the catheter. It was the person who made the appt who told us to take out the catheter. We left upset and angry over the situation. No matter where my cancer goes, I will not come back to IHA Urology.

I saw the NP or I would have had to wait another MONTH to see the Dr.after the 2 reschedules!!! I was awaiting the results of a kidney scan and wanted to results sooner than later. When she came into the examining room she basically didn't know why I was there!! She said she had no scan results and asked the date of said scan. She went back out and finally found it. Not professional in my opinion.

It seemed like the NP was in a rush and when asked to do a prostate exam it seemed like she did not want to do it. I am glad she did because she said she felt abnormality which really had me concerned about the care we received as well as others.

Once I arrived, everything went well. However, not one person I spoke to on the phone to set up this appointment verified WHERE the office was located. I had a paper from my primary care doctors office that had S Canton Center Rd, suite 2200, Canton MI on it. I spoke to the receptionist several times when setting up this appointment and not one time was I informed it would be at a different location. Luckily they were able to reschedule and see me on the same day once I got to where I needed to be.
She has a kind spirit and knows how to put her patients at ease with their anxieties. Again, I receive excellent care, not sometime but each & every time.

I find the providers very cold and uncaring in this Urology practice. I am looking for another urologist. I could have been asked to come in for a cath specimen when a contaminated specimen was found but I had to initiate that myself.
