The assistant that brought me to the provider was a bit robotized in her script, like she was reading of a script about the medicare part. The provider looked very different from the last time I saw her, and it doesn't help that everyone has a mask on. Staff were pleasant, but something just seemed too impersonal in the whole encounter.
Love *Dr. Elliott. Will miss her if I have to go while she is gone having her baby.

I receive extra counseling from a Care Counselor (?) about an Advanced Care Directive, which was so nice and helpful. To be able to do this during the same visit was wonderful

Today there was a bit more time for Dr. E and I to get to know each other as people, which I appreciate. I am coming to know how she works as a doc, and she is getting to know what makes me worried or chill as a patient.

She really listened to me and took my concerns seriously and also had a nice demeanor. The only problem is she mentioned referring me to a podiatrist near her office on the west side of Ann Arbor, but the call I got was for an office in Ypsilanti and they have no Ann Arbor locations. When I went to the IHA West Arbor Urgent care on 10/1 I asked to set up a patient portal so I could message my doctor to see if there is an Ann Arbor-based doctor she could refer me to. They said they sent me an email with directions to get the portal set up, but I did not get an email.
We were on the same page about my course of care and our interaction couldn't have been better. I trust her and feel very lucky to have her as my doctor.

From the time they checked me in at the front desk, I had an excellent experience with each person, from the reception associate to Doctor Elliott. Everybody was respectful (I am a senior woman) and courteous, also informative and patient. Everything was prepared and ready for me. I like the advance electronic check-in opportunity and the chance to review my medical history and other information before I even get to the building. There was an additional survey ready for me at the desk. The schedule was so on-time that even though I got there early, I hardly had a chance to finish filling out the additional survey before I was asked back to the exam room. After the physician's assistant (or nurse, I'm not sure of her title) finished with the preliminary part of the visit, I barely had to wait before Dr. Elliott came in for our visit. She was thorough, she listened, asked good questions, and gave me some very useful information. In general, IHA WestArbor is a pleasant building to visit. I feel safe there during this pandemic. There's plenty of hand sanitizer available. The bathrooms are clean. There's plenty of parking space available. It's a great place to receive care.

Her attitude of rushing me with my comments was rude and unsettling.
