Dr Eapen has a calming demeanor and makes me feel comfortable expressing my thoughts and feelings about Type 1 diabetes. I trust she truly cares for my well being.
I don’t get much empathy or trust from this provider. Not really encouraging when my A1C is going down. Questions me if I really know how to accurately count carbs for meal bolus’.
She is very cold and seems as though it is a bother to her to even see patients. She does not even remotely appear to care about my health and as I have stated prior seems to speak in a degrading manner. She has never once physically examined my throat nor inquired how it is. Dr. Ruggero Battan was my previous doctor for this specialty for over 20 years and EVERY appointment he ensured to examine and ask questions and listen to any concerns. He saved my life TWICE by knowing something was different when even I did not. Eapen is a huge step down from the care I received prior to her and I will be seeking a different doctor outside of trinity and outside of muskegon.
There was a med student shadowing her. Fi d out who that is and get him someone different to shadow. We do not need to spread eapen's skills/habits/practices into any ither part of the health care system. Im serious, you need to go to that office and examine what is going on there
I have no complaints. The visit was done very well and I am confident that the doctor cares about me and my health.

The Dr only spoke with me. No type of exam
Her statement to me, "This is the consequences of you having bariatric surgery, you're going to have to deal with it". Didn't listen to my history, didn't look at my food log I had with me. Very dismissive.
I appreciated hearing that my recent history of tests indicate that my thyroid is stable.
This provider waited to share sensitive information until i was in the office, face to face as she knew i would be surprised to hear results of recent testing.

During my recent visit, I felt that the care provided was rushed and impersonal. The provider seemed disengaged, focusing on getting through the appointment quickly rather than addressing my concerns. As a long-term type 1 diabetic, I've come to expect certain aspects of care during my visits, such as a thorough examination of my feet and a more comprehensive assessment of my overall health. Unfortunately, none of these were conducted during this visit. The provider's questions were very brief, and there was no physical examination. This lack of thoroughness and personal engagement left me feeling undervalued as a patient. Therefore, I rated my likelihood to recommend your practice as a 6. I believe that with more attentive and personalized care, my experience could greatly improve.

Seemed too busy to care. Did not seem to have looked into any of my test results,, and absolutely had not read any of what I wrote on my on line check in.

This provider is not a good fit for me and my Type 1 diabetes. The visit did not include the items she documented and mistakes were made in reporting my test results

Dr Eapen is just doing her job. No interest or enthusiasm in my treatment. . I will be looking for another physician. This attitude seems the same throughout your department.

Did not take all of my health concerns into account. Reported that I did not have gait issues when I am being treated for gait issues by another provider, and that would have been very evident.

It has been a very long time since I could rate a Dr with this positivity.
Provider is fine, people are nice. I don’t feel I’m gaining anything though, but that’s just me. My diabetes does not fit into any particular mold but no one’s does. I’m comfortable trying to figure it out on my own really and maybe calling if I have a question. I don’t think this is for me.
