Abby holds her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wayne State University. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in political science and dance from University of Michigan and her bachelor’s degree in health science from Wayne State University. She is currently working towards earning her Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT) certification, anticipated December 2022.

She is versatile in her ability to treat orthopedic, neurological and vestibular populations, specializing in concussion and performing arts rehabilitation. She is a published researcher in the Journal of Dance Medicine and Science and has presented at multiple national and international conferences on her research in dance-specific movement screening assessment and performing arts medicine for International Association for Dance Medicine and Science and the American Physical Therapy Association.

Abby is the current Legislative Advocacy Director the Michigan Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also a company dancer for the local contemporary ballet company, Ballet Edge Detroit. She loves to hike and explore with her husband, Chris, and her puppy, Scarlett.
