Dr. Nigatu completed his medical education at Gondar University in Ethiopia. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. Dr. Nigatu completed a second internal medicine residency and his cardiology fellowship at John Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois.  When asked about his philosophy of care, Dr. Nigatu said, 

"The patient always tells the diagnosis, if we listen." 

His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, cardiac catheterization, and peripheral vascular disease.
