About
Dr. Thormeier earned his medical education at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and his interventional cardiology and general cardiology fellowships at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. When asked about his philosophy of care, Dr. Thormeier said,
“I believe in providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based medical care to my patients. The most important part of the doctor-patient relationship is building trust and allowing patients and families to feel involved in their care, in order for them to make fully informed decisions.”
His clinical interests include percutaneous coronary intervention, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and structural heart interventions. In his free time, Dr. Thormeier enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, exercise, golfing and playing basketball.
