I haven't seen a doctor since 2018 being scared of affordable healthcare all the way through covid 2020 i have not seen a doctor my first to 2nd visit felt like a relief because the Primary doctor i choose was helpful and noticeably caring. Dr. French is always great at explaining your medical situation, test results, tests needed or required and advising you on what to do to improve your health. I did feel that this appointment was rushed as Dr. French quickly went through his routine.

Happy that this time I could actually get a same day appointment, but very disappointed when I was asked to be seen about an hour earlier, which was fine with me, but I ended up waiting for almost 30 minutes to be seen. I actually called the office to ask about the wait time, they told me that it would be a few more minutes. Ended up being an additional 25 minutes. Not sure where the miscommunication was, but I wasn’t very happy about it.
Dr French was my doctor here in Alpena years ago. When he moved to Chelsea we followed him even though it is a four hour drive one way. I trust him and his care.

We have to travel over an hour to come to Chelsea as both my wife and I have more confidence in the medial staff associated with St Joe's so I had an earlier appointment with my dermatologist in Chelsea but that was in the morning, so we were looking at a 3-4 hour wait before my appointment with Dr. French, however explaining to the Staff at your office in Chelsea they made arrangements to try and squeeze me in earlier. That being said, even though we were squeezed in, both the nurse and Dr French seemed to spend ample amount of time going over my history and gathering all the information and not rushing.
He's good at his profession, and I'm glad he's my primary care physician.

Needs to review history before coming in. Asks if i had a procedure that he had me do earlier in the year. My new meds must be working well when nothing changed. Same meds I've been taking for a while. Just seems in too much of a hurry to get to the next patient. Slow down and review before you visit the patient.
