When I called to schedule my appt., I asked the receptionist if the doc could give me a shot for my pain. She said, 'Yes.' When I got there the doc said he doesn't do them, he'd check to see if his NP could do one at that time. It took 20 minutes for someone to come back & tell me NP wasn't available, and I could schedule shot for another date.

This was my first visit with Dr. Hearty. I was impressed with his knowledge about my problem with a bone spur on my ankle. It is achilles tendinitis that is causing my pain. He showed my the x-rays and clearly explained the problem. Talked about surgery if it got really bad and I couldn't control the pain. Also, talked about PT administering some med to alleviate the pain. Said he would give me a referral for PT if I wanted one. Also, talked about Voltaren gel for pain relief. I am already using Voltaren gel. I really liked Dr. Hearty.

Dr. Hearty was very pleasant and informative. He went through my CT scan with me and explained how the surgery would need to be done. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very at ease. I had sustained 6 rib fractures with my car accident and using crutches or a walker for my ankle fracture was causing severe pain in my chest. He wrote me a prescription for a knee scooter and it made all the difference in my pain.

I was very pleased with my care
I saw Dr Hearty because I was having pain in my feet. X-rays were done and Dr Hearty gave me good advice on how to ease the pain. I was afraid that my right foot was failing and needed fusing as the other foot had been two years ago. I am following his advice and my feet are feeling better. I have a great deal of respect for Dr Hearty.

I came to Dr. Hearty needing to make a final decision regarding ankle surgery... fusion vs. replacement. My first visit w/him. Almost immediately I was 100% convinced I'd made the BEST change in surgeons. Absolutely wonderful experience.

Dr. Hearty called me back immediately with my MRI results and addressed my test results. He is very easy to understand and caring. Gave me direction on what I have to help heal right now, but will need more follow up visits to see if we possibly need surgery to correct issue and important information on what else is going on with my foot and leg injury. He asked to me to also follow up with my primary.
