I waited an hour in the wait room before I was seen and it was because when I checked in at the desk the girl didn't actually check me properly. When I asked her how much longer (after 40 minutes of waiting already) she said oh the doctor is running behind. Meanwhile I watched women go in their appointments and out! A nurse was one who noticed I was there for a long time and finally took me back to see the doctor. She was the only one who apologized for our wait and nothing much was said after that.

He was the first dr. To take the time out to review my medical history in regards to my menstrual cycles. He actually cared what I had to say and provided me with ALOT of relief.
Dr. Merkel answered all of our questions and made us feel that our concerns were valid. I was nervous about a particular procedure and he was very kind and not weird or awkward. We're so happy to have found Dr. Merkel.The nurses and receptionists were also very kind and friendly. I have never been in such a pleasant atmosphere at a doctor's office.

Dr. Merkel is one of the best providers I have ever gone to. I have since moved from the area, but will continue to drive to see him as my provider since he has gained my complete trust over the years. He is always informed, never seems rushed when speaking with you, and makes an effort to understand any concerns you may have. Plus he is very personable which makes appointments much more enjoyable to attend. We are looking forward to having him deliver our 2nd baby in March and to receive his care.

On this visit I was disappointed in how my FMLA paper was filled out I feel like the provider made it seem like I really don't need to be taken off from work when my body is in constant pain my legs and ankles have been swollen and my back always hurt. Which makes it look to my job that I don't need to be taken off and with the amount of pain that I am in and with two weeks before my due date I feel like it shouldn't have been a issue to fill my paperwork out in a way that shows I do need to be taken off.
