Dr. Hakim seems to want to spend more time but his schedule is very tight. Trinity Health needs to allow more time for each appointment.
I was quite surprised-- I felt he was not only rushed but seemed to be annoyed when I asked what were simple and easily expected questions. I am a person who rarely complains and has an intense respect for physicians but this was an infrequent case where I felt the "bedside manner" left a great deal to be improved upon.
He was able to address an urgent concern as well as the problem I was there for.
This is the second time he has been my surgeon.

Excellent visit notes provided amazingly soon to me online--within 1.5 hrs. or so. Would have appreciated attention to current pain management and more about use of a cane and an offer to use a handicapped parking tag (I didn't think of it at the time).

Dr. Hakim is very efficient which probably explains why he can see patients so quickly, this did mean that he didn't spend much time understanding my concerns or my history. He just doesn't have the best bedside manner, for whatever that's worth.

On the referral I received for physical therapy, Dr Hakim's name was not on it. Instead the name, Caith, Kevin was under the Referring Providers Information which caused some confusion when I went to make therapy appointments.

This was a 3 month f/u visit s/p Left hip replacement surgery. The care provided by Dr. Victor Hakim and his Ortho Team has been excellent and the outcome has been fantastic: I can ambulate without pain! I had a first hip replacement on the Right side. Both Dr. Hakim and PA at all office visits, provided the information that I needed at the time and provided additional perspective about the future for my orthopedic needs and future. As I told Dr. Hakim during this last office visit, I consider the combination of his surgical skills and ongoing care by his staff as truly miraculous, in a sense, since I could hardly walk after being shut down during COVID with out the ability to be seen for the surgery that I needed. I am so thankful for getting my life back!!!! Yes, I know that is what we do, however, it is a miracle for a more fulfilled life going forward. My sincere thanks to all Involved form the office to the OR to the Short Stay Unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. For both of my hip replacement surgeries during 2021!!! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!! PS: I also want to give a shout our to Probility Physical Therapy Services in Ann Arbor, MI for post op support for both surgeries and restoration of my mobility. I look forward to more improvement during the months ahead!!!

Dr. Hakim is very knowledgeable and pinpointed my knee problem quickly. He offered a couple of solutions and I went with trying the cortisone shot first. It has made my knee much more comfortable and workable.

My PT recommended I see this doctor. When I told the receptionist that I thought I had a meniscus tear, she refused to make an appointment for me, saying the doctor only dealt with patients with arthritis. I had to call back and say I suspected arthritis to get the appointment. Once I had X rays, arthritis was confirmed, but I didn't feel as if I should have to Identity my condition even before the appointment to get in to see the doctor. I needed a doctor to diagnosis what my problem was.
